The British Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne, will visit on Texas beginning 24 February to promote UK and US trade relations before departing for the G20 Finance Minsters summit in Mexico.

The Chancellor said:

I look forward to visiting Texas and promoting the strong ties between this state and the UK. Both our economies thrive on a strong spirit of innovation. The UK will have the largest international presence at this year’s South By Southwest, which only a few years ago gave life to Twitter. A delegation of Texans—including Mayor Leffingwell—recently visited the Tech City development in East London: an area that, with public-private partnerships and investments, we are hoping will become the high-tech hub of Europe.

Tech City is an example of great British innovation and technology and another reason why the UK is a great place to do business with.
