Falkland Islanders Visit Washington
Last week, two Falkland Islands Legislative Assembly Members (MLAs) and two younger Islanders visited Washington to meet with policymakers and thought leaders. They discussed the Islanders’ right to self-determination, their desire to remain British, and also what makes the Falkland Islands unique. With the Falkland Islands being over 6,000 miles from Washington, the Islanders wanted to share a bit about their lives with Americans.
